Insurance Information

Sue, Lizzie, Michelle and Sarah hold insurance for all swimming and aqua yoga classes offered.

We hold pool rescue and first aid qualifications.

SLK Aqua Yoga - Terms & Conditions and Refund Policy


SLK Aqua Yoga are delighted to offer Aqua Yoga classes at 5 pools in East & West Sussex


Pool hire, days, times and course dates are agreed with the pool owners and we will do our best to keep you advised of course dates.  We offer back to back courses at West Grinstead and MXT Storrington, and term time courses are Lewes, Seaford and Robins Garth, BN5.   Days and times can change (sometimes at short notice) we do all we can to avoid disruption to your classes, but changes may sometimes be necessary and if made by the pool owner are out of our control.


We commit, hire and pay for our pool time before each course starts so request prompt payment within our payment terms to ensure we can cover pool, teacher and admin costs.


Taster Classes / Full Course

We offer a one-off taster class if you would like to try a class before committing to a full course.  We regret we do not offer pay as you go (please see half course option for AQUA NATAL CUSTOMERS close to due date). 


Keeping a space in a specific class

Once you have attended a full course with SLK Aqua Yoga we will give you priority for a class space for the following course.   Reservation forms will be sent out in good time, and we ask please for payment no later than 10 working days* before a new course starts if you wish to return to the same day / same time / same class, or transfer to another day / class.  If you wish to continue but have ‘pay day’ delay issues, please contact us – a holding payment equivalent to two class payments will be requested.


If payment is not received within the above timescale spaces will be offered to waiting list customers.  Space may still be available in your existing class, however, we cannot guarantee it and you will need to contact us to check availability before making any further payment. 


Make Up Class Policy

Make Up classes are subject to availability and are extremely time consuming to administer and we ask please that you read, understand and accept our policy before accepting a space on a course.  We wish to treat all customers in the same way so regret we cannot make exceptions. 


We offer one free make up class, in any course.  These cannot be carried forward, and we regret credit in lieu cannot be rolled over to the next course.  Please advise us as soon as you know you will be absent so we can offer your space to others, and you theirs. 


We no longer require on the day cancellations and make up classes are not offered for absence notified within 24 hours of your usual class time.


We run 6 (occasionally 7) week courses and offer one free make up class each course for pre advised absences (more than 24 hours).  These can be lunchtime, evening or a double class.  Make ups may be in an Aqua Walk, General Aqua Yoga, or Aqua Tone class - you will be advised if it is not your normal type of class - we can adjust exercises for your individual needs.


Make up classes will not be arranged until a course has started unless we have a pre-advised holiday space; we need to have unallocated spaces available for new customers who express an interest in joining a new course or attending a taster class.


If you attend more than one class a week, you will be entitled to one free make up for each class, however, we may not be able to offer a double class make up, two singles may be offered instead.


We do not offer pay as you go, or a ‘class swap’ arrangement within a course (one day for another), and make up classes cannot be carried forward to the next course.


For two weeks consecutive absence / holidays we will do our best to accommodate two make up classes, however, the two week absence MUST be advised before a course commences. 


For longer absences, you will need to decide if you wish to pay for your course to retain your space, or release the space, and return at a later date.  We will do all we can to accommodate your request to return, however, we cannot guarantee it will be on the same day and at the same time.  No credit class carried forward will be offered.


When a make up class is offered we mark our attendance sheets with space offered.  This will only be held for 48 hours after which time the space will be offered to other customers awaiting a make up class.  You are welcome to come back to us by email to see if the space is still available.


Classes cancelled by Pool Owners / SLK

A cancelled class will do far less harm to our business than a customer's health complication or complaint.  Cancellations may be made by pool owners or SLK if the pool owners are not available.  This is to ensure the safety of SLK customers and we regret may be at very late notice.


We have to take all health conditions into consideration during pool hire time each day and we cannot exclude one or two customers - others will ask why it is ok for some to swim and not others - we cannot divulge this information and have many health conditions to consider. 


If we become aware of a potential risk we will cancel.  Where possible a make up class will be offered, and if this is not possible credit will be carried forward to the next course.


Should a cancelled class coincide with a pre advised holiday / sickness absence no make up class will be offered or a credit carried forward.


We can make no comment regarding other hirers of the pool whose classes may run before or after ours. 


Pool chemical balance can be remedied - sometimes relatively quickly - but only by the pool owner if available or their pool maintenance company. We can, however, test the pool if this has not been done prior to SLK Aqua Yoga sessions if we feel there is a need or if we have been asked to do so in the pool owner’s absence.


We would always suggest that you check emails before attending a class, as cancellations by pool owners can often be at very short notice. 


Customer Cancellation Fees

We have in the past had customers stating they wanted to book the next course, only to then cancel late, or not make payment having said they were coming, and then simply not turning up. As a result we have had to add the following cancellation charges:


More than 10 working days* – Full refund if payment has been made.

Within 5-10 working days*– course cost, less £15 administration fee

Less than 5 working days* – half of course cost

Less than 2 working days* – no refund will be made
